Scholar Day 2016 10

Ways to Donate

Why Hartford Promise Matters

“Education is not just another issue.  It is the most powerful force in accelerating economic growth, reducing poverty and lifting middle class living standards.”

David Leonhardt, New York Times

Hartford Promise is large scale! Our first two classes of Scholars consist of 257 amazing students. Most of the Promise Scholars are first generation college goers. Our Scholarship and support services will strengthen Hartford’s college going culture, increase student expectations, increase the number of Hartford students graduating from college, and add to a larger, more qualified work-force.

Promise Scholars have done all they can to persevere and be successful. They are true role models. We hope you will find a way to support their effort and give generously.

Your Support Changes Lives

The success of Hartford Promise depends on all members of our community embracing the ambitious goals of our students.  Thank you for being with us.

Every donation of every size helps our Scholars afford college and changes their lives.

Here are some examples of larger ways to support the Promise Scholars.

We welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how we can match your philanthropic vision with Hartford Promise’s ambitious goals!

GIVE. ALL. YOU. CAN.

Funding Goals

Our annual Scholarship costs are approximately $2 million and we expect this number to grow as the number of Promise Scholars increases. We have raised $6.2 million to date.  We will soon launch the Hartford Promise Permanence Campaign.  Our goal is to raise an additional $6.4 million in the next two years to make a long-term promise to future Hartford Promise Scholars.
